Are You Braving Black Friday?

Are you Braving Black Friday? I am thinking about it... Leaning more towards the 'thinking' as opposed to the 'going'. It's always crazy busy and I have heard horror stories about arguments erupting, merchandise being unavailable, fighting, and even death [yes, death, remember the man that got trampled at Walmart last year?].

Last year, my hubby and I went to an outlet mall that opened right at midnight. I wouldn't mind going again, it was busy, but bearable and a bunch of the stores had great deals, like 50% off of the entire store until 2am! A friend of mine went to Walmart last year and she says DON'T DO IT! I am sure Target will be just as busy, but for some reason, I just might go. Here is their Black Friday Ad.

I did read in a forum about a lady who has a little scheme she runs at Walmart. I forget who she is, but she said that she buys her stuff the day before, then goes into Walmart on Black Friday to the return desk and gets the price difference back. Some people scolded her, saying that it wasn't fair and that its kinda like cheating, or cutting in line. The lady responded and said that she asked a store manager if she could do it and he told her there were no rules against it. I don't think I would try it. But if you really want something that you can't otherwise afford, it might be an option. Just don't be surprised if everyone snarls at you :)

My plan of action: I will hit the outlet center at midnight, then off to TARGET, as soon as they open! I can get great gifts for everyone there.

I've never been a huge Black Friday shopper. This Mom will be snuggled in bed, ready to relax for the day. For those that find the joy in it, I say, "GO FOR IT!" Indulge yourselves, all you want!
