Loving the ZeroWater Patented Water Filter Pitcher {Review}

I have been given the opportunity to review the ZeroWater Filtration Pitcher with Electronic Tester and Filter and all I can say is WOW. They promised a money saver, cleaner and better tasting water, and an eco-friendly solution, and they delivered! It is fairly simple to use. You pour your tap water into the pitcher and it passes through a 5-step filtering process. The Electronic Water Tester comes with the ZeroWater pitcher and measures the levels of total dissolved solids still in the water. The closer you get to zero means the less solid contaminants, and a higher purity level. Water that is filtered through the ZeroWater pitcher tests at a big fat ZERO! It holds 64 ounces at a time.

What ZeroWater has to say (from their site):

“ZeroWater water filters utilize a patented 5 stage Ion Exchange system that removes 100% of detectable dissolved solids and provides more complete filtration than conventional carbon water filters. ZeroWater is the ONLY filtered water that meets the FDA definition for purified bottled water. In side by side tests, ZeroWater scores a perfect 000 for detectable dissolved solids as measured by a TDS meter. Products include pitcher water filters, cooler systems, replacement water filter cartridges and laboratory grade TDS meters. * Filtered potable tap water tested by an independent lab (not the FDA) to meet specifically the water quality requirements for using the label “purified.”

Since I have had my ZeroWater pitcher, I can attest that I have saved a lot of money on buying bottled water. With myself, my growing boy, my mother in-law an athlete for a husband, and a host of visitors, I used to buy two 24-packs per week [seriously]. This was about $4 for each pack, plus the $1.20 CRV fee, totalling over $40 per month! Yikes! It has been about a month and I have seen this difference in my grocery bills.

Check out these bottled water facts:

  • According to the Associated Press, it only costs 51 cents per YEAR to drink 64 oz (8 glasses) of water from the tap!
  • In 2007, U.S. consumers purchased $16.8 billion worth of bottled water.
  • According to Corporate Accountability International, bottled water is subject to less-rigorous testing than city tap water.
  • Close to 2 million tons of plactic was used to make bottles for water in 2007.
  • Americans drink the most water from bottles than any other nation.
  • In the U.S. alone, 30 million bottles a day/billions of bottles per year end up in the garbage.
