I finally made it back from being stranded in Las Vegas last night around 8pm. For those of you who did not know, I went there this past weekend on what was supposed to be a short weekend trip for a friends birthday.
When we arrived late Friday night, I noticed a little steam coming from the grill of my car. Why is it that issues always tend to happen while you are out of town? I took my car down to an auto shop I found near by on Saturday morning, where I was informed that radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced, they did not have my model in stock, and that they would be closed Sunday and would have to order the part and that it would not arrive until Monday morning… and that it would cost $500. Damn.
Despite this, I relaxed for the weekend and had a great time out with my friends. Come Sunday night, everyone made their way home [one of my friends was able to stay] as I found myself spending money on another night in a hotel room. In the morning when I was ready to pick up my car, I get a call stating that this idiots sent over the wrong part model, one that does not fit my car. They would have to send that one back and wait until Tuesday morning to get the correct model. Another night away from my family, and another night in a hotel [this time, alone]. I was fuming!
I finally made it back home last night. I missed my family so much, I felt like i’d been gone for a month! I feel like I have so much catching up to do, it’s crazy! I love Las Vegas, but sometimes you just got to get back to life. Glad to be home…
