I don’t know about you all, but I absolutely cannot wait for the Spring season! I am tired of all of the rainy cold weather, I want to break out my Spring dresses and sandals. Although it’s cold out, I love the fact that I can still look and feel attractive. Here are a few cold weather beauty tips to keep you warm, cozy and cute!

Hair: In the cold winter months, hair tends to get limp, dry, and break a bit more. I noticed that when I shampoo less often, my hair stays moisturized, longer. Shampoo strips your hair of their natural oils, so skip a day or two and see how it works for you and try out a leave in conditioner, too. Also, blow dryers and flat irons tend to take toll on your hair, so use a protective mist to block your hair from the heat or try styling without one.

Skin: If you are anything like me, your skin gets extremely dry during the winter months. Sometimes, my hands feel as though they are going to literally crack! Keep your skin lubed by using a moisturizing body wash in the shower and lotion up from head to toe. I have grown to like Neutrogena® Norwegian Formula Hand Cream, it is nice and thick and I slather it on in the morning and before bed time to keep my hands from drying out. Elbows, too!

Accessories: My absolute favorite accessory of the winter season: SCARVES! They are cute, colorful, and keep your neck area super warm. I love them in all sorts, colors, shapes and sizes. You can transform your entire look, dress them up for work or down for a casual day. Also, jewelry compliments an outfit just like cream does coffee, so select a few pieces that go with your ensemble to brighten your look.

Make Up: It’s difficult to apply make up to a dry face, and quite unconfortable! I would suggest using a facial moisturizer (I use Olay® Complete SPF 15 Mositurizer, have been for years) and the L’Oreal® Paris True Match™ line of concealers, blushes and powders, which are oil free, yet have nourishing vitamins and extracts to keep skin hydrated. For lips, I think that Vaseline or a petroleum jelly should act as a good barrier against the elements.

How do you keep up with your beauty regimen during the cold winter months? Please do share with up in the comments below!
