Ok, I must admit that even as an adult, I get excited about animated films. The creativity is huge beyond belief and the story lines are often developed with humor, danger, adventure, and heart warming events. My favorites come from Disney Pixar and Dreamworks.

One of the newest animated films, The Croods, is coming out this month and I couldn’t be more excited! See, i’m a family oriented type of gal, so I love the fact that this movie features a family that is forced to work together to overcome obstacles. Although the story is make believe, it can be related to real life situations. I can’t wait to take the kids!

THE CROODS is a 3D comedy adventure that follows the world’s first modern family as they embark on a journey of a lifetime when the cave that has always been their home is destroyed. Traveling across a spectacular landscape, the Croods are rocked by generational clashes and seismic shifts as they discover an incredible new world filled with fantastic creatures — and their outlook is changed forever.

According to premiere goers, this Dreamworks film is an animated 3D delight! Onica of The Mommy Factor says the movie was “really funny with appropriate humor for both kids and adults” and Ashley, a writer at MomStart says “The Croods proved itself to be a movie for everyone filled with stunning animation, pulse raising suspense, true laugh out loud moments, and heart touching scenes making tissues a requirement.”

The Croods comes out in theaters March 22, be sure to check it out and bring along the whole family! To get into the spirit, you can LIKE the Croods on Facebook and visit their website for fun online games and coloring pages!  Also, On Saturday, March 23 and Saturday, April 13, Lowe’s stores will be hosting special clinics featuring The Croods. Children learn basic home improvement skills and build confidence while creating a free, wooden project they can take home. Each participant also receives a free apron, goggles and a certification of merit upon completion of their project. Recommended for ages 2-5.
