Who Should Go See Captain America: The Winter Soldier?

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is out in theaters TODAY, April 4th!

Captain America, The Winter Soldier

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier.

Are you wondering if you should go see it? I have been sharing my experience with Marvel and all of my interviews with the Captain America cast, to be able to do this was amazing, to say the least! I enjoyed the movie, so much in fact that I am probably going to go see it again! I like the plot, it’s very believable, in a superhero sense, and the way that Marvel created this movie to seamlessly tie into the rest of them in the franchise. It has a more serious tone, geared towards adults, with a little dry humor here and there to break it up. There are some awesome fight scenes, and I like the twist where the Winter Soldier’s history with Captain America becomes personal.

You should go see Captain America: The Winter Soldier if…

…you love seeing the hero vs. villain battle play out

Captain America and his crew take on the hefty task of defending S.H.I.E.L.D., where the agents could be enemies. Lots of battles and attacks reveal the villanous plot, and the person behind it. The best part is watching Captain America battle the Winter Soldier, they have a history together so it becomes personal. By the way, keep an eye out for the awesome ‘elevator scene‘. You’ll know what i’m talking about when you see it.

…you are a Marvel superhero lovers

If you are an old comic fan, or have simply enjoyed Marvel’s big screen renditions of the comics, you will love this film. It follows the traditional stories of Captain America, one of the oldest super heroes, including the infamous Black Widow who was once a spy, and introduces Falcon as a friend and ally. The story plays off of other Marvel installments, don’t miss it!

…you enjoy action, adventure and thrilling plot and story line

The plot of the film is a typical superhero-saves-the-day one, but there are a few twists and turns to the story. Captain America finally gets to show off his super soldier strength, and there is enough action and special effects around every turn to impress an army. You don’t have to be an Marvel fan to understand the movie, which is a plus for those who love action films. My favorite action scenes were the elevator scene, mentioned above, the scene where a prized S.H.I.E.L.D. member is attacked, and the scenes where Captain America, Falcon and Black Widow handle their business at the end.

… you are a mature audience member

There are plenty of intense fight scenes, explosions, gun fire, and dead bodies. Captain America has some awesome fight scenes, and Black Widow and Falcon do some nice damage as well. I would personally recommend this movie for mature tweens and teens who can handle lots of violence without having nightmares.

  • This is the second positive review I’ve read about the captain America move today. Now I gotta go and see it!…I was expecting people to say it was boring as I’ve always found captain America to be the most boring of super heroes.
