Marvel’s ANT-MAN Family Series, Part 4: The Darling Abby Ryder Fortson!

 

 

We’re talking all things Marvel this week about the latest release from the franchise: ANT-MAN! During the ANT-MAN family series, we’ll be sharing some awesome interviews, set visits, behind the scenes, and information about the movie each day. ANT-MAN Family Series, Part 4: Abby Ryder Fortson is so adorable!

 

While on the ANT-MAN movie set in Atlanta, GA last November, the cutest, sweetest, and excellent acting young lady came to chat with our group. SHE. IS. ADORABLE! Abby Ryder Fortson is a 6 year old little girl who plays Scott Lang’s daughter, Cassie, in the movie. See, Lang really becomes ANT-MAN all for her, he wants to make up for his past mistakes and be more involved in his daughter’s life. Abby was possibly one of the best interviews I’ve ever done, she’s just so sweet!

 

 

Abby walked into the tent we were stationed at and appeared a little shy, but only at first. Escorted by her mother and a couple of others, she sat at a table right in front of us and looked around. Once we started talking to her, she opened up and was a chatty little thing! Such a beautiful and outgoing personality, here are a few things we learned about Abby and her role in the movie ANT-MAN!

 

 

 

Her favorite Disney princess? ELSA. And no, she did not dress up as Elsa for Halloween, “‘Cause I don’t have the outfit and it’s like 100, a 200 dollars on one like thing.”

 

Her favorite part about making a movie? Acting. Straight up, no chaser. She was asked why she loves acting, and her response: “Because I get to be all different kinds of people.” Abby has been acting since age 4, and she says that she likes working with Paul Rudd because, in her words, “he’s actually koo-koo!!” We were all cracking up!

 

What Abby though about ANT-MAN’s suit: “It was actually really cool. I actually got to put on one of his gloves when I was at the wardrobe.” Then, she motions with her hands to illustrate, “cause he had to wear this whole mask that had like a breathing thing at the end, and so he could breathe when he shrinked and they did, they didn’t want it to be too heavy so they cut the mask part off. But they kept the breathing thing on but like this part off.” You GUYS. So cute!

 

Abby’s favorite super hero? ANT-MAN, and Black Widow!

 

 

Ya’ll, we really ‘awwwwed’ throughout this whole interview, she is just the cutest. Her expressions were priceless, I believe her mother said that this was her very first interview and she rocked it! She is a wonderful addition the the family element of the movie, I love that Marvel is focusing on this!

 

 

Abby is a busy girl, she has a couple more projects in the works, and has to look out for her little brother! She says that “it is so hard and it is so crazy” to be a big sister, and gave us this fun fact: “Guess what? One baby plus 24 hours equals two broken computers. Well, I’m glad I didn’t bring mine. ‘Cause mine would be broken too.” I wish you all could hear her saying this, it was so hilariously adorable!
