Another year older means another year wiser, right? I sure hope so!
I don’t usually make too many plans when my birthday comes around, accept for to share it with my twin sister. This year, we got the chance to check out a local tour with BITE San Diego. Wine, food and an ocean view? Absolutely!
BITE San Diego is a company that offers locals and tourists a chance to sample local foods and wines in some of the city’s top culinary neighborhoods. Some of the areas you can tour include North Park, Coronado, Pacific Beach, Downtown, and of course, La Jolla, where we went. I think everything was awesome, the food was good, guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and it’s a walking tour so we came ready for a little exercise!
Watch my short video of our BITE experience…
We visited Ohana, Richard Walkers Pancakes, Farm to Fork, The Public House, and We Olive. I think another food stop would have been awesome, we had 5 stops total and two of them were liquid only (juice and wine). There were a few restaurants that I would have loved to try, but I think we’d be walking around all day long if we stopped everywhere!
If you’re looking for a fun, food tour excursion in San Diego, BITE is IT! If you chose the La Jolla tour, you’ll enjoy a leisurely walk with picturesque ocean views and a little local history, along with some tasty bites from local restaurants. The birthday was officially awesome. ENJOY!
